Astrophysics applied to bioacoustics
The Acoustics Lab
In the Acoustics Lab, Astro Acoustics is adapting radio astronomy techniques to passive acoustic wildlife monitoring by developing a new directional recorder and is involved in several acoustic wildlife monitoring programs in lutruwita/Tasmania, including CallTrackers, a Nature Trackers citizen science project.
Consulting for Research and VLBI
With over 30 years experience in the field, Astro Acoustics can provide assistance in developing techniques and strategies for efficient gathering of experimental data and software solutions for data organisation, management, analysis and visualisation.
Astro Acoustics also offers consultation services in Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), particularly in the area of planning and implementation of new facilities.
